Carbon black, ivory black, gas black, black pitch, bitumen, paraffin, petroleum, soot, vine black, spark plug black, activated carbon, coal, lignite, anthracite and peat, carbon fiber, graphite, graphene, crude oil, kerosene, gasoline on burning wood.

The balanced and perfectly symmetrical structure of a house of cards gives shape to the work. When we build them, we have to practice, rehearse, and study the possibilities until we reach the perfect patience applied to geometry and place the cards in line, supporting their bases as if they were strong pillars, one on top of the other, forming isosceles triangles from the botton to the apex. Quite an achievement.
Jetztzeit Behausung (The dwelling of time-now) is fragmentary, stratified and fluctuates in a melting pot of multiplicity and countless simultaneities. Thus, the past is not defined as a fait accompli but holds within itself the power to become legible in the now. The work contains cards each bearing its own provenance (all kinds of fossil fuels and their petro- chemical derivatives), which is its significance. Thus, the construction will touch the sky “of progress” and all its ambi- tions. From then on, it will be in the hands of fate or a breath of wind that will bring down such an ephemeral construction.
